Josephine Reed photo by John Boat Contributors Sonja Cole As a former middle school librarian and author of Booktalking Around the World: Great Global Reads for Ages 9-14, Sonja's mission is to get kids excited about books. For her, a perfect day includes knitting while listening to a brilliantly performed audiobook. In addition to reviewing, Sonja also writes about children and family listening on AudioFile's blog. (See "Fiction & Nonfiction Audiobooks for Science-Minded Kids," page 68.) Jessie C. Grearson Jessie Grearson (Adam Lazarre-White profile, page 58) is a freelance writer and a writing teacher living in Falmouth, Maine. A graduate of the Iowa Writers Workshop, she has co-authored two essay collections and is currently at work on a practical handbook on college essay writing. When not writing, teaching, or coaching her high school speech team, she can be found visiting lighthouses, searching for sea glass, or in her garden dreaming up new recipes. Candace Levy Contributing Editor Candace Levy ("5 Questions with Narrator Soneela Nankani," page 36) is a full-time freelance book editor as well as a book reviewer and journalist. When she's not working, you'll inevitably find her listening to an audiobook while cooking, walking, making lace, or taking photographs. She was honored to be the 2016 Audio Publishers Association's Audiobook Blogger of the Year. Josephine Reed Josephine Reed ("Behind the Mic with Narrator Robert Bathurst," page 42) is a compulsive listener of audiobooks. She was the program director of the book and theater channel on XM Satellite Radio where she created, produced, and hosted "This is Audible" and "Writers on Writing." She also created, produced, and hosted the literary show "On the Margin" for WPFW, where it ran for 18 years. Jo hosts AudioFile's podcast, "Behind the Mic." Aurelia C. Scott Aurelia C. Scott (Zadie Smith profile, page 48) loves being an AudioFile contributing editor because she is able to hear a wanton number of audiobooks and interview occasionally wanton authors and narrators. Herself the author of an award-winning nonfiction book about competitive rose gardeners, Aurelia is writing the first in a series of novels about a nineteenth-century scientist's adventures among the world's legendary and mythical creatures. She is also writing a memoir of women and lingerie. While we work with more than 100 reviewers, we are always interested in new reviewers. We value fresh opinions across all genres. If you are a very active listener, have writing experience, and are interested in discussing the audiobook performance in 125 words or less—you are welcome to apply to editor Robin Whitten, Want to be part of AudioFile's review team? 6 n AudioFile/ Candace Levy Aurelia Scott Jessie Grearson Sonja Cole Josephine Reed
