Emily Connelly photo by Molly Haley, mollyhaley.com Contributors Emily Connelly Assistant Editor Emily Connelly (Mackenzi Lee profile, page 58) enjoys working with AudioFile's wonderful team of reviewers. She is a former wildlife biologist, an avid reader, and a parent to two book-loving little kids. Emily first dis- covered audiobooks as a child at her local library and now loves to take her children into the Portland Public Library for armloads of books—and audiobooks, naturally. She is balancing her work coordinating reviewers and editing AudioFile's blog with earning an MLIS degree. S.J. Henschel Contributing Editor S.J. (Sandi) Henschel (Nancy Wu pro- file, page 34) is a confirmed audiobook addict. She is rarely without something to listen to, and when she's not listening to books for review, she uses her local library to fill in the gaps. She has had the pleasure of interviewing such notable authors as Isabel Allende, William Kennedy, and Margaret Atwood, to name only a few. She loves her work with AudioFile magazine and tells us it's the best of all possible jobs because it never feels like work. Candace Levy AudioFile Contributing Editor Candace Levy ("5 Questions with Tim Gerard Reynolds," page 42) is a full-time free- lance book editor as well as a book reviewer and journalist. When she's not working, you'll inevitably find her listen- ing to an audiobook while cooking, walking, making lace, or taking photographs. She was honored to be the 2016 Audio Publishers Association's Audiobook Blogger of the Year. Look for her "Take 5 with Candace" column on AudioFile's blog: audiofilemagazine.com/blog/ category/take-5. 8 n AudioFile/www.audiofilemagazine.com Aurelia C. Scott Aurelia C. Scott (Sean Pratt profile, page 50) loves being an AudioFile Contributing Editor because she is able to hear a wanton number of audiobooks and interview occasion- ally wanton authors and narrators. Aurelia also writes the "Aurelia's Audio Adventures" column on AudioFile's blog, posted twice a month (audiofilemagazine.com/blog/ category/aurelias-audio-adventures). Herself the author of an award-winning nonfiction book about competitive rose gardeners, Aurelia is writing the first in a series of novels about a nineteenth-century scientist's adventures among the world's legendary and mythical creatures. In between, she is writing a memoir of women and lingerie. Tom Walken Contributing Editor Tom Walken ("Learning By Ear," page 52) began writing reviews for AudioFile in the mid- 1990s while he was still practicing clinical psychology. His "Learning By Ear" column started a short time later with a set of reviews on parenting audios. He says the 2000-plus audios he's heard on personal growth and business topics have kept him current on how people can make their lives better and how work groups become more effective. From his adopted home in Raleigh, NC, the Baltimore native now works with entrepreneurs, evaluates executive candidates, and spends his free time cooking, playing music, and enjoying his friends and family.
