I am getting my Ph.D. in history, and I also work in my local library (pictured here)—so I quite literally spend my days surrounded by stories. Listening to audio- books is a marvelous way for me to explore the books I wouldn't otherwise have time to read, especially horror and popular nonfiction titles. Audiobooks keep my imagination going, give me plenty of titles to recommend to my patrons, and remind me of the power of narrative in my own writing. Jonathan Smith (J.P.S.) No one believes Jonathan when he says he loves spending time in the car, but he really does (and since he commutes a couple of hours a day, who are we to disagree with him?). His time in the car gives him ample opportunity to listen to audiobooks. The first book that got him on his way to audiobook evangelism was Scott Brick reading Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. Ever since then, he's enjoyed discovering new voices and audiobooks of all genres. When not in the car, he spends his time with his family and his dog, produces a public radio program, plays some golf (poorly), and samples bourbons. A.B. Anna Broome, Audiophile, ME A.C.S.
