Kirsten Scarcelli has achieved the audiobook trifecta: listening to audiobooks on road trips while her husband drives and she knits in the passenger seat. "It's pretty great!" A former professional knitwear designer, Kirsten found her way back to hand knitting a few years ago when life began to feel stressful. "I find knitting very meditative. And I think that state of mind leaves me more open to listening." Road trips led her to audiobooks, and now she and her husband listen together. They enjoy mysteries—"They're entertain- ing"—and recently listened to Erik Larson's Dead Wake, about the sink- ing of the Lusitania. When she's not traveling or consulting as a holistic health and nutrition coach, Kirsten works part time at KnitWit Yarn Shop in Portland. Every Thursday is knit night—audiobook recommendations welcome.—Jennifer M. Dowell Kirsten Scarcelli Knitter Portland, Maine "I find knitting very meditative.
